What I've Learned on My Journey
It's not just the crown. It's about what I have learned on my journey to the crown and how I can apply that to my everyday life.

Ramada Columbus North Hotel
6767 Schrock Hill Ct.
Columbus, OH
I will be competing in private interview, talent, and evening gown. For talent, I will be singing "It's Not A Secret Anymore" by Linda Eder. I am very excited to perform this piece.
I know I said I was going to compete in Miss Ohio International, but I could not get a sponsor. Each preliminary title holder will receive free entry into the Miss Black Ohio USA pageant in August.

Just Checking In
Last week, I bought my fitness wear top and am very excited to wear it.
On Valentine's Day, I saw He's Just Not That Into You with Megan Wombacker. That's about it. Nothing new has happened to me, but I said I would blog more. Until next time.

Miss America 2009
I watched Miss America 2009 with a completely different set of eyes. In 2008, I watched Miss America with Ashley Hartman and Megan Wombacker. This year I watched it by myself and surprisingly not live. I DVR'ed it, but it gave me time to pause and rewind.
Left: Miss Hawaii
Right: Me
I had a completely different reaction during the crowning moment than I have ever had in my life. Last year when Kirsten was crowned, I was all smiles and just kept repeating, "Praise Jesus," the phrase Kirsten said after she was crowned. But this year, I bawled. I could not stop crying. Katie's reaction touched me so much, and for those of you who know me or have read my blog, you know I do not cry. Ok, I did cry when I was crowned, but hey that was a unique moment in my life.
So over all, I really liked Miss America this year. And now that I've blogged again, I'm going to try to make it a regular part of my week! Until next time...
